John Martin Reservoir Celebrates 75th Anniversary

The 75th anniversary of John Martin Dam/Reservoir.

On October 21st 2023 we are planning a community event day with speeches from both state and agency representatives, food vendors, a cornhole and disc golf tournament, dam tours and a fishing derby for kids.

The event will be from 9:45 am to 6:30pm. We have a lot of information for the event on our Facebook page USACE John Martin.

We hope the public can come out and enjoy a day of celebration with us! We wouldn't be here without them and their families’ contributions to the dam whether it be constructing it or recreating here!

To answer some posted questions regarding the event

>The event will not have a gate or parking fee

>Colorado Parks and Wildlife have waived the need for a day pass for the event

>The event will take place on the outflow side of the dam in the CPW Campground, around Lake Hasty and at the USACE Shelter

Please follow all instructions when registering for events

>All events will be free of charge

>Spots are limited for certain events, if you are confirmed for an event you will receive a confirmation email with additional information

>Event announcements will be made at random on Facebook to be fair to all attendees

>If you do not get registered for an activity don't worry, the event will have many other offerings!
