Obituary

Arturo Grajeda Palomino of Rocky Ford, Colorado entered rest in Raton, New Mexico. Sept 28, 2023. He was born to Jose Grajeda and Maria Palomino in Chihuahua, Mexico November 1, 1937, he was 86 years of age.

Just a short 15 days after his passing, his wife Annie E. Grajeda entered into rest in her Rocky Ford, home.

Arturo is survived by his children Jolene (Mike) Tidwell of Sterling, Colorado, Vlanca (Paul) Padilla, of Raton, New Mexico, Bobby (Amy) Grajeda, of La Junta, Colorado and Jeffery (Brittany) Grajeda, of Loveland, Colorado. Annie is also survived by her two sisters, Carmen (Dan) Ramirez, Irene (Mike) Brewer and grandchildren Hollie (Alex) Door, Rock (Jessy) Tidwell, Gary Grajeda, Trinidy and Hailey Smith, Jaida, Aria, Brylin, and Kanan Grajeda, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Arturo is preceded in death by his parents Jose Grajeda and Maria Palomino.

Arturo had numerous siblings and loved his music. He enjoyed gardening, ranching, and farming. He was a cowboy at heart, one can find him wearing his cowboy hat and short denim shorts. He was a conversationalist and an observer. He was a loving and caring father and a very good man.

Arturo will be greatly missed by all those who knew him and loved.

Service held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, Colorado.

Johnson-Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
