Hasty-McClave Fire Protection District VS Structure Fire

At approximately 11:00 this morning the Hasty-McClave Fire Protection District was paged for a possible structure fire within the town of Hasty.

While en route responders could see heavy smoke and assistance was requested from Las Animas/Bent County Fire Protection District for additional man power and trucks. 

Unfortunately the home was a total loss. We want to thank our public safety partners at the Bent County Sheriff’s Office, Bent County Ambulance Service Wiley Rural Fire Protection District for their assistance on the scene today.

Mop up operations have continued throughout the day. Our thoughts are with those affected by the loss of their home.
