Obituary

The Starks family has recently endured an unexpected loss of Dante Starks on July 17, 2024 at the age of 20. Dante was an ambitious hard working young man who spent his youth working in the fields.

Dante is known to have lots of family not only by blood but by his loyalty to the relationships he’s made throughout his life. Dante always made himself available to anyone in need. Through adverse circumstances in his life, he’s always made opportunities happen. Dante had a beautiful personality, and a great sense of humor. He was a very outgoing and great person who was a good leader. He loved to drive around; he loved his dog Scruffy. He enjoyed music and just loved life. Though his life was cut short he and his smile will have an everlasting place in our hearts and memories.

Dante is survived by his sister: Isabella Ruby Starks of Denver, Mother Terra Starks of Rocky Ford, Brother: James Saulmon of Rocky Ford, step-parents: Dave & Carol Lundquist of Rocky Ford, Jaimie & Suzie Saulmon of Rocky Ford, aunts & uncles: William "Billy" Starks, Sherri Kay Starks, Hope Trejo, nephews and nieces: William Berciago, Issac Daniel Gallegos, Christina De La Cruz, Jessica Anna De La Cruz, Geraldo Yepez, Veronica Hernandez, Arriana Hernandez, Juanita Hernandez, Elvira Trejo and Jorge Trejo. Friends: Chuck Mondragon, Micharl Estrada, also Calvin who was special to the family. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers: Carmen Starks & Lydia Pacheco, grandfather Veto Montanez, his cousin Libby Bueno, and uncle Robbie Montanez,

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 9:00 A.M. at First Christian Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bellwood Ustick Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to www.bellwoodustick.com.
