On December 23, 2020 Karen Lubish was out for a walk in Sugar City Colorado when she was attacked by two dogs, one a pit bull and the second dog was of mixed breed. Another Sugar City resident Richard Lindt witnessed the attack and without regard for his own safety came to the aid of Mrs. Lubish pulling the dogs off of her in the procces Mr. Lindt was also bitten.

Mr. Lindt's actions undoubtedly saved Mrs. Lubish from further injury.

It is with great pride that I present this challenge coin to Richard Lindt for his heroic rescue of Mrs. Lubish. Richard Lindt showed the kind of public spirit that all Crowley County residents should be proud of.
