VFW Auxiliary Spruces Up Highway 50 East

October 22, 2021

By: Kathleen Tomlin

The VFW Auxiliary #2411 volunteers joined forces with the Las Animas Elementary School to clean up one mile of highway just east of Las Animas this past Friday, on a beautiful fall afternoon. Thanks to the Colorado Department of Transportation for mowing the ditches, which made our work so much easier! The VFW Auxiliary #2411 adopted Highway 50 from the Arkansas River Bridge for one mile east through the Spruce Up Colorado program several years ago.

Taking the picture was President Kathleen Tomlin. Many thanks to all who helped!
