La Junta Fire Department VS Garage Fire 11/30/21
"At 1322 today responded to a reported structure fire in the 300 blk of N Main. While enroute Chief Davidson noticed heavy smoke from 3rd and Harriet.
Upon arrival a single car detached garage had heavy fire showing on the A, B, and D side. Two 1 3/4 hand lines deployed for defensive attack. Once fire was under control salvage and overhaul was conducted.
An escaped control burn was the cause of the fire.
During this incident we ran two small brush fires and one med call in town. On scene was 31, Eng 1, Trk 1, Ten 1, Brush 3 and DFPC Eng 34. No injuries were noted."
