Obituary

Frances Elaine (Francie) Miller, 79, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Thursday, December 23rd, at Memorial Health System Central, Colorado Springs.

Frances was born in Rocky Ford, CO on August 22, 1942, a daughter of the late Vivian Irene (Merchant) and Bernice Lamb.

She was the wife of John Franklin Miller, they were married April 8, 1960 in Rocky Ford and made their home here.

Francie worked several years for Audits and Surveys, NORC and the University of Chicago. However she will always be remembered as the Secretary of Community Presbyterian Church.

She spent many years babysitting for several families and to say she was involved in many community services is an understatement, as she was involved with the Toy Drive at Christmas time for the families in need, she was on the Accountability Committee for the Rocky Ford School District and served as the Manager of the Grand Theater.

Francie loved helping other people but most of all she loved her family. In some small way, Francie touched everyone in this community with her selfless service to the various
organizations, clubs or volunteer committee's. She will be missed deeply and especially by her family.

She is survived by:
Husband John of the home;
Son Jerry, husband of Darlene Miller, of Frederick, CO;
Son James, husband of Gina Miller, of Rocky Ford, CO;
Brother Charles, husband of Virginia Lamb, of Hutchinson, KS.

She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren

Francie was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter: Shelby Ortega-Miller.

Francie did not wish to have any services upon her passing. So to honor her wishes, the family will hold a small service for family and close friends. We thank you for your kind words and condolences that have been sent and continue to come.
