Veterans who are 100% disabled Permanently and Total are eligible for a 50% property tax exemption on the first $200,000 of the actual value of his or her primary residence. 
 
How Do I Apply?
 
Form BOE-261-G, Claim for Disabled Veterans' Property Tax Exemption, must be used when claiming this exemption on a property for the very first time for both the basic and the low-income Disabled Veterans' Exemption.
 
The claim form is available by contacting your county assessor.
