Obituary

Ida Virginia "Jeannie" Hernandez Romero, 66, entered heaven on February 11, 2022 in Colorado Springs. She was born on September 16, 1955 to Ida Archuleta Sandoval and Tony B. Hernandez, Sr.

She was a faithful Denver Broncos fan. She loved watching old movies, fishing, camping, reading books, singing, cruising in the country and spending time with her numerous nieces and nephews who loved God and a cold beer and cool summer nights.

She is survived by her son, Marcos (Erin) Lucero of Rocky Ford; sisters, Alma (Arthur) Gutierrez of La Junta; Sandra Sandoval Roybal of Pueblo; brothers, Jimmy (Beth) Gonzales of Commerce City; Benny (Lupe) Gonzales of Pueblo West; Ruben (Lydia) Gonzales of La Junta; Kenny Sandoval of Colorado Springs; grandchildren, Dre (Sydney) Gurule, Alan (Celene) Gurule, Jovan (Annika) Gurule all of Pueblo; Sierra Gurule of Longmont; Angel Martinez of Ordway; Camille Maes of La Junta; Andreas, Steven and Neesa Lucero all of Woodward, OK; Guillermo Noriega Lucero of Rocky Ford; two god children, Ayana Garcia Rojas and Tony B. Hernandez, III both of Pueblo. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Steven Alan Gurule; brothers, Richard Whatley, Tony B. Hernandez, Jr.; sister, Teresa Gonzales Garcia.

A memorial service will be Friday, February 25, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
