11/5/2022

Deputies responded to the 30000 block of County Road 30 for a burglary alarm. Deputies checked the property and everything was locked and secured with no signs of break in.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Vigil for an ambulance call. Deputies assisted the caller get up off the floor and no ambulance was needed.

Deputies responded to the 14000 block of County Road HH for an ambulance call.  Deputies assisted with loading the patient.

Deputies responded to Fort Lyon for the report of stolen property.  Deputies spoke with staff and determined the report was false and there was no stolen property.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Locust for a vehicle unlock. The vehicle was successfully  unlocked.

Deputies responded to the 27000 block of County Road 34 for the report of a brush fire.  Deputies assisted fire crews.

Deputies responded to the 31000 block of County Road 24 for a welfare check. Deputies determined everything was okay and the issue was civil. 

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Locust Ave for a vehicle unlock. Deputies unlocked the vehicle.

11/6/2022

Deputies responded to the area of County Road 17 and County Road LL for suspicious activity. Deputies determined it was a farmer working in the area and no suspicious activity took place.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Vine Ave for a report of an unwanted party. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and informed her it was a civil matter and she needed to address the situation with the courts.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Maple Avenue for a welfare check. Deputies determined everything was okay, and advised the person to contact his employer.

Deputies responded to the area of 5th Street and Peck Avenue for the report of dogs at large.  Deputies were unable to locate any stray dogs in the area.

Deputies responded to the 32000 block of County Road 8 for an ambulance call. Deputies assisted with loading the patient.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grove Avenue for the report of a burglary alarm. Deputies checked the premises and determined everything was secure.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and mile post 415 on a report of a reckless driver. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle in question. 

Deputies responded to the 11000 block of CR FF.75 on a report of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies found the vehicle to work for the railroad company. 

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and 6th St to assist the Colorado State Patrol. Deputies took a dog into custody.  

11/7/2022

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Ambassador Thompson Boulevard for the report of a suspicious person. Deputies were unable to locate the person.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue for the report of a missing child. Deputies were able to locate the child and return to the parents.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 6th Street for the report of theft. Deputies took a statement.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Grand Avenue for the report of a civil issue. Deputies explained that they aren't allowed to intervene in civil issues.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Ash Avenue for the report of a disturbance. Deputies determined that it was a civil issue.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Ash Ave on the report of suspicious activity. Deputies were unable to locate the parties involved. 

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Bent Ave on a report of suspicious activity. Deputies investigated and found everything to be okay.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Locust Ave to assist South East Mental Health with an emergency evaluation. The evaluation was performed without incident.

Deputies responded to the 8000 block of County Road GG for a structure fire. Deputies assisted Fire Department personnel. The fire was investigated and the cause was determined to be accidental.

11/8/2022

Deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 50 and County Road 26 for the report of an abandoned vehicle. After further investigation, deputies requested that Colorado State Patrol red tag the vehicle.

Deputies responded to Highway 101 and mile post 1 for the report of livestock on the highway. Deputies were able to get a hold of the livestock owners.

Deputies responded to the 800 block of 3rd Street for an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS.

Deputies responded to the intersection of Ambassador Thompson Boulevard and Maple Avenue for the report of dogs on the loose. Deputies were unable to locate the dogs.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Maple Avenue for the report of a civil issue. Deputies explained that the issue was civil.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of North Bent Avenue for the report of a vehicle needing unlocked. Deputies unlocked the vehicle.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Carson Avenue for the report of a burglary. Deputies took a statement.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of 4th St. to assist the ambulance. The patient was loaded and transported to the hospital in La Junta. 

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Carson Ave on a report of a burglary. Deputies found this to be a false alarm. 

11/9/2022

Deputies responded to the 400 block of 6th Street for the report of a burglar alarm. After further investigation, deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 11th Street for the report of an animal call. Deputies were unable to locate the animal.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Poplar Avenue for the report of a noise complaint. Deputies explained that there is no noise ordinance during the daytime.

Deputies responded to the 8000 block of County Road BB.5 for the report of an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS.

Deputies responded to the 11000 block of County Road FF.75 for a vehicle lockout. The reporting party located their keys.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Moore Avenue for the report of suspicious activity. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Locust Avenue for the report of an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS during the call.

Deputies responded to the 1100 block of St Vrain Avenue for the report of suspicious activity. Deputies were unable to locate the suspicious activity.

Deputies responded to 3rd St and Garfield Ave on a report of suspicious activity. Deputies spoke to the parties involved and found everything to be okay.   

11/10/2022

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grove Ave for a burglar alarm. Deputies found this to be a false alarm.

Deputies responded to the 1200 block of 6th St on a report of suspicious activity. Deputies were unable to locate the parties involved.

Deputies responded to the 30000 block of County road 15 in Las Animas for the report of theft. Upon further investigation, deputies discovered it to be spam mail.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 50 and Mile Marker 410 for dangerous driving. Deputies advised the driver not to be talking on their phone while driving.

Deputies responded to the 200 block of Elm Avenue in Las Animas for the report of two dogs at large. Deputies were unable to locate the dogs

Deputies responded to the 11000 block of county road GG.5 in Las Animas for the report of possible harassment. Deputies advised the party it was not harassment and it was a civil issue. 

Deputies responded to County Road 10 and County Road EE in Las Animas for the report of a reckless driver. Deputies were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies responded to County Road 12 and Highway 50 for a report of a dead deer on the highway. Deputies removed the deer from the highway. 

Deputies responded to the 200 block of 6th St. for a report of someone smelling a fire. Deputies were unable to locate a fire.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Grand Ave for a report of theft. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and determined no theft took place.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of 4th St. for a report of trespassing. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and took a statement, and will be referring the case to the District Attorney’s Office for charges.

Deputies responded to the area of 11th St. and Bent Ave for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and spoke with the driver to determine that no suspicious activity took place.

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of School St for a report of threats. Deputies spoke with parties involved and determined no threats were made.

Deputies responded to the 1100 block of Carson Ave for a report of trespassing. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and took a statement of trespassing and theft.

11/11/2022

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and mile marker 398 in Las Animas for a report of a suicidal party. Deputies were unable to locate anyone.  

Deputies responded to the 200 block of Vigil for a report of a burglar alarm. Deputies talked to the homeowner who had accidentally set it off.

Deputies responded to the 11000 block of Highway 50 in Las Animas for a report of a stolen vehicle. Deputies took statements and are investigating. 

Deputies responded to Highway 101 and mile marker 9 for livestock out. Deputies put the livestock back in. 

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Adams street in Hasty for a family disturbance. The party left before deputies arrived.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Ambassador Thompson Boulevard for a report of a suspicious person. Deputies were unable to locate the suspicious party.
