Obituary

Luis Aragon, 73, passed away on June 24, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Aragon of Pueblo; sister, Erma (Gilbert) Gallegos of Swink; sons, Jason Aragon (Allison Taylor) of Lakewood, Colo., and Eric (Sara) Aragon of Eagle-Vail; granddaughter, Louisa Aragon of Eagle-Vail; step-son, John Paul Bryant of St. Petersburg Fla.; step-grandchildren, Delaney Bryant of St. Petersburg and Walker Bryant of Georgia; step-great-grandchildren, Jace, Greylee, Maggie, and CO Welch; nieces and nephews and their families; and his numerous grand nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Adelina Aragon; and sister, Mary (Max) Gallegos.

Luis was born on Jan. 16, 1950, in Swink, Colo. He grew up in Rocky Ford and Swink and graduated from Swink High School in 1968 where he was a class officer.  He played sports and enjoyed playing in a band. Luis worked at Montgomery Ward, Nibco, Liberty Loan, The Associates, Morgan Stanley, and Wells Fargo; he enjoyed traveling to many locations for work, enjoyed spending time with grandchildren, playing golf, playing in a band during high school, and being a clerk for the LDS Mormon Church until his death. He was a great father and grandfather and many remember Luis as a generous and caring man; he was a gentle soul to all he came in contact with.

Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 10 a.m. August 26, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1411 Fortino Blvd.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the BrightSpring Hospice Foundation (https://abodehospiceandhomehealth.com/donate/) in honor of Luis.
